I am Francois , proud to be born & bred in Corsica, France. I have opened Roastino Gourmet Restaurant early 2013 in Hemel Hempstead, Herts.
My CV includes an initial 8 months apprenticeship bakery school in Corsica in 1974. Then came various works in several French and Italian London and Bournemouth restaurants ( where I met my wife) in the late 70's / early 80's and even under Raymond Blanc at "Les Quat' Saisons, Summertown" ,Oxford ; Then came 4 very profitable years as demi-chef & Chef on board of cruise liners ( Royal Viking Sky and Pacific Princess ) in mid 80's.
In late 80's we created with my wife Julie in Herts & Bucks ( Aylesbury, Berkhamsted, Chesham, Amersham ) several delicatessen ( the French Bakery, Julie's deli ) and restaurants, while I was wholesaling imported food. From a strong 6 refrigerated van sales operation ( T/a Rungis Direct ) we were based in Tottenham and servicing nation wide independent shop keepers, butchers and delis... The business was sold in 1996.
